Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before accessing, using or obtaining any materials, information, product or services in our site. By accessing Centre for Gender Studies HRH Learning Hub website you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.          

As our condition of use, you promise not use the services and information provide in this platform for any purpose which is prohibited and unlawful. By using this HRH learning Hub means you agree not to use the services:

  • To harass, abuse, intimidate, impersonate or threaten any individual via this platform 
  • To transmit or post, or cause to be posted or transmitted any sort of information that is libelous, obscene, defamatory, abusive, pornographic, offensive, profane, or which infringes any copyright or other right of any individual or body.
  • To communicate with Centre for Gender Studies staff or any other users in an offensive or abusive manner
  • To create or transmit unwanted spam to any person or URL
  • To create multiple accounts via this platform for the same purpose
  • To share copyrighted materials which does not belong to you, unless you are commenting on Visual Content in Blogs, where you may share/post such content subject to providing appropriate attribution to the copyright owner and link to the course of the content.
  • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

You can terminate your subscription at any time via forum management page. Terminations are confirmed immediately and you will not be subscribed.  

Centre for Gender Studies, Bayero University Kano is the licensee or owner of all intellectual property rights in this site and content/material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright.

You may download extracts, print off copies of any page(s) from our site for your personal consumption and you may draw the attention of others within your friendship group, organization or family or to content posted on our site.

You must not edit the paper or digital copies of any content you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any photographs, illustrations, audio or video sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. You must not use any part of the materials on our site for commercial purposes without first obtaining our permission to do so.

Centre for Gender Studies is not responsible for any website you are linked via our site. In the situation where our site contains links to other websites and resources offered by third parties, we only provide you with these links for the purpose of information only. You should not interpret those links sites and or information obtained from as approved by us. Please bear in mind that we do not hold control over the content and information to those sites and or resources.

Please note that we do amend the content of our terms from time to time, so every time you wish to use this site we advise you to check these terms to ensure you understand what terms apply at the time.

Whenever you use any feature of this website that permits you to upload materials, or make contact with other users you must comply with content standard as set in our Acceptable Policy. You should warrant that any of the contribution comply with those standards, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

Any materials you upload to our website will be regarded as non-proprietary and non-confidential. You retain all of your ownership rights in your materials, but you are required to grant us and other users of our site a limited licence to use, copy and store that material/content and to distribute and make it available to third parties.

We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

We have the right to remove any posting you make on our site if, in our opinion, your post does not comply with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use. You are solely responsible for securing and backing up your content
